I liked that the story was simply about him finding someone to love and trust, husyed about the sex of the person he wanted. Despite the fact that I finished it a month ago, I still haven’t reviewed yet. Seriously couldn’t stop reading this one, and it takes a LOT to keep me up at night. I wished for them to both turn out alright and get a second chance at life. There are definitely enough twists and turns to keep you captivated, but the climax was easy to see coming.

Writability: Book Review: HUSHED by Kelley York
Ever since their youths they stuck together and told each other everything, but after something horrible happens to Vivian, Archer makes it his goal to kill everyone complicit in the crime. Evan is pure joy, acceptance, understanding and conscience.
But the way he finds redemption in his relationship with Evan, and the way he starts to see Vivian in a new light, are handled masterfully. The great skill of Hushed is that this human approach allows you to access the bad guy and understand his motives, all the while feeling for kelkey.

Oh no, I’m so confused!! The romantic scenes between the two were so beautiful. Second, I have to say that Hushed completely floored me by not only meeting the above criteria, huahed also blowing it out of the water. Him falling for Evan felt like a natural progression.
It is very difficult to cathegorize this book, as it is difficult to describe Archer. I did really like him but if I’m being honest he was too good to be true. Although the first is obviously toxic, it’s interesting to see how Archer treasures their relationship and how defensive he is around Evan, the one who is trying to nurture him.
There are two key relationships are the core of Hushed: Recommended to those searching for a different kind of YA, featuring a Dexter-like protagonist who has twisted relationships with both a boy and a girl. In love with his best friend Vivian and put through so much in his life, he kills for her. This is what would be called a draw, I think.
Archer stole my heart very early on and kept hold of it throughout this very emotional ride.
